about

Come See Me is the first single from FMB's second album, and wastes no time introducing the more intense musical direction of the Band's later songs.

According to Rags: "If I remember correctly this was a Jam we came up with while rehearsing down at the joint (Kings Cross). I think I came up with the stop-start guitar riff which Alex then ran with….the rest as they say is history. I don’t think it even had a vocal until Rog came up with the brilliant lines we have now in 2023."

The song was recorded, along with the first album and the remainder of the second album, in two days during a space in 2020's lockdown. Most of the songs were recorded in one take with one or two overdubs, but Come See Me is a one-take-wonder which was only recorded as an afterthought with no rehearsal. In the unedited recording Ragnar, Roger and Alex can be heard discussing whether anyone can remember how exactly the song goes, seconds before recording it. The conversation ends with Ragnar saying 'well let's just see what happens'. And now you can hear what happened: It's a bloody racket that dispenses with normal song structure, contains a dreamy 2 minute middle section, and finishes with Jeffers pulling his guitar to pieces in front of very loud Marshall amp.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we did playing it.
